Ocean Encounters is a family owned and operated Gold Palm Five Star IDC PADI and National Geographic Dive Center with 5 facilities in the island. For our facility at Lions Dive Hotel we are looking for a:

INSTRUCTOR
Ocean Encounters is looking for instructors to fill positions as we expand our business. We are looking for non-smoking, professional individuals (no couples), who excel in teaching to PADI standards at all levels.

If you have a University Degree, Speak fluent Dutch, and/or have your own professional underwater equipment it is a plus.

General Duties:

Teaching PADI sanctioned courses in a safe and timely manner
Promoting continuing education and customer retention during instruction
Guiding certified divers from boat and shore
General Shop duties and maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

MSDT Rating
Able to teach Nitrox, Deep, Night, Wreck, and DUP.
1 year experience working in the dive industry
Updated PADI materials including Cue Cards for all core Courses

FULL TIME MARKETING & SALES REPRESENTATIVE

In this position the candidate will be responsible for both local and international multi media based promotion of the company.

Duties:

Writing and implementing a marketing and public relations plan for advertisement throughout America and Europe.
Building a database with customer information and using this for market research.
Responsible for planning customer and company events.
Taking care of all e-mail and telephone correspondence with customers regarding reservations, information, and pricing.
Help maintain and update the Ocean Encounters website.
Help with composition and e-mailing of company newsletters.

Requirements:

Marketing degree
3 years minimum experience
Fluent in English and Dutch
Proficient in multi media marketing

FULL-TIME SHOP ASSISTANT

Activities:

Providing information to, and registration of customers for the dive/snorkel trips and courses we provide
Administration of registered customers
Selling dive and snorkel products
Planning of customers, staff and logistics for different trips.

Requirements:

Service oriented, social skills, representative and able to work under stress
Good verbal and written knowledge of the English language, Dutch is a plus
Computer skills, Word and Excel
Interested and experience with watersports, especially scuba diving
Experience in a similar job is a plus
